Cacao Ceremony
A cacao ceremony is a gathering built around drinking ceremonial-grade cacao with intention, rooted in Mesoamerican traditions and used today to open the heart, mark transitions and bring a group into presence.
How it works
Participants drink a warm, minimally processed cacao while a facilitator guides intention-setting, often followed by meditation, music, movement or sharing. The cacao is mildly stimulating and many people describe a softening, heart-opening quality.
Who it's for
Groups and individuals who want a gentle, substance-light ceremony for connection, reflection or a threshold moment, from personal rituals to team offsites.
What to know before you start
Ceremonial cacao contains theobromine and some caffeine. People with heart conditions, high blood pressure, or who take certain antidepressants (especially MAOIs) should check with a doctor first, and a facilitator should adjust the dose for anyone sensitive.
