End-of-Life Doula
An end-of-life doula is a non-medical companion who supports dying people and their families with emotional, practical and spiritual care, from planning and legacy work to presence at the bedside and support in grief.
What a doula does
Doulas help people talk about what matters at the end of life, plan the environment and rituals they want, create legacy projects, and give families rest and guidance. They work alongside medical and hospice teams, filling the human gaps in care.
Why it matters beyond the deathbed
Death awareness clarifies how we live. The same skills (presence with difficulty, honest conversation, ritual for endings) translate into how leaders handle loss, change and closure in their organizations.
